academia & faith

Faithful Shepherd Catholic School is grounded in Roman Catholic Faith that is centered on the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Our academic program focuses on developing each child’s potential, inspires students and staff to achieve excellence and provides opportunities for service to the community.

Kindergarten

Faithful Shepherd Catholic School offers a full-day, 5-day Kindergarten program. Low class sizes (17–19 students per class) allow students the opportunity for more individual instruction and growth opportunities.

The Kindergarten program consists of the curriculum basics Religion, Language Arts, Math, Social Studies and Science as well as support for social skills, work habits and physical and motor development. Students also attend specialty classes including technology, art, music, Spanish, library and physical education.

Elementary School (Grades 1-5)

Our highly-qualified staff of professionals bring a wide range of experience to the classroom. Students at each grade are exposed to a rigorous curriculum focused on strong academics consisting of Language Arts (including reading, writing, spelling and handwriting), Math, Science, Social Studies and Religion.

Elementary students attend specialty classes including technology, art, music, Spanish and physical education as well as participate in Mass once each week. In addition, students participate in age-appropriate special assignments, field trips and service projects.

Middle School (Grades 6-8)

In Middle School, our curriculum broadens, opportunities expand and students are challenged to reach new heights in academic and co-curricular performance. Differentiation of instruction continues to be a focus as we look to provide strong academic growth opportunities for the needs of each student.

A “homebase” provides each student with a teacher-advocate who coaches students through their entire Middle School experience. The homebase environment fosters academic achievement, depth-of-character and leadership development. Small class sizes continue as we look to provide individual attention to each student.

Co-curricular activities expand to offer students the chance to explore new interests. With their advancement to the Middle School, students now serve as role models for younger students as we strive to develop a stronger passion for serving others.
